This was one of the best mini disc players released by Sony in 2005-2011. In the line of midi and hi-midi players (MZ-E series and in the MZ-EH series) this player is the last.  their sound equally great! Since these models were produced only for the Japanese market, without any restrictions on sound and optics! And all these 4 models have the same built-in amplifier and headphone amplifier for each channel: 5 mW + 5 mW at 16 Ohm JEITA

This player supports all standard midi formats (STD-MD: SP; LP2; LP4) on 60 discs; 74 and 80 minutes, but also hi-midi format with recording of various ATRACs on the same standard PCM / Hi-SP / Hi-LP minidiscs on 300 MB std-MD formatted media, as well as PCM / Hi-SP / Hi-LP playback on 1 GB Hi-MD media. So practically it’s a universal playable machine!
