Made in Japan in the early 1980’s. The Akai AP-D40 is an impressive and solid performer – Direct drive, 33 & 45 RPM 2 Speed,  Original Akai magnetic cartridge, the plinth is made with from an anti-resonant compound. It has a quality ‘S’ Shape tone arm, with anti-skating for well-balanced sound. The removable head shell. It has a built-in stroboscobe, and adjustable speed so that you can adjust the pitch to perfection. It is a fully automatic turntable with all the controls on the outside.  Excellent working condition.
