Vintage JVC RC-N5 radio cassette recorder. This separate model of JVC can be retracted and pulled out. Use it as a radio when retracted. So it looks like a radio, with the tuner display central between the speaker…But one slide and wahey a cassette deck! The clearances are tight, there’s no more than 2mm between each side of the tape drawer and the main body, so a bunch of controls have stealthily been placed on the rear of the unit.

Very nice compact and unique, interesting model for music lovers.
