Akai AC servo motor employed in this model for direct capstan drive
equipped with 114 gears on both the rotor and stater sides and a detector coil. Magnet are built in on the stater side for a completely new pulse detection system.

Other advantages of this system over the usual DC servo motor with magnetic braking system include simplified construction, absence of heat generation, and substantially decreased ripple
as a result of the mechanical eccentricity of the motor.

GX forward/reverse playback and combination record/erase head guarantees long lasting performance, wider dynamic range and excellent signal to noise ratio.
